Pakistan Machine Tool Factory (PMTF),
Karachi (Pakistan) one of the precision engineering facilities
in the country, was established in 1969 with collaboration of
OERLIKON BUHRLE of Switzerland, the world renowned manufacturers
of Machine Tools.
The company has three distinct product lines
namely i) Machine Tools ii) Automobile
Transmission Components and iii) Die-Cast Parts. A major
balancing programme was undertaken in early 80's, and new
computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machine coupled
with latest equipment was added to the existing facilities.
Today, PMTF manufactures center lathes, milling machines,
turret milling, copy milling and boring milling machines,
automotive parts such as gear boxes, transfer cases, axles,
steering/timing gears etc. The unit also manufactures
non-ferrous die castings. It has adequate facilities for tool
making and tool designing.

HMC
is also authorized by American Boiler Board to use ASME
(American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Stamp for its power plant
boilers and pressure piping.
